Naya 2's week in review
"Teacher's Pet"

So, it is Islamic awareness week at my school this week and so far it has been good. Lots of educated and iformed muslims givin lectures and makin Islam a comprehensive religion to everyone. The Way of Life. Anywho, the main attraction, Imam Siraj Wahaj cancelled last minute! Seriously, that sucked...lets just say this is the second time a main attraction cancelled on me, first it was Jagged Edge in my BH(be4 Hijab) life and now Siraj wahaj in my AH life...it's like the univerese has conducted a lil' lets piss off Naya2 meeting behind my back. I was just extra pissed cuz I invited Dr. B whom I was hopin can be converted by Siraj wahaj's lecture so we can elope and live happily ever after. This is sad, not to mention weird, but I enjoy Dr.B's company...he makes me laugh and I can talk to him forever. I am backin off after the Islamic seminar I invited him to this weekend, and the somali food date we have tomorrow...he wanted to taste somali food! How can I refuse him that? Anywho, This whole thing is me setting myself up for pain. Come on, da man was my prof, might be again....old enuff to be my dad, he is white, non-muslim. Too many strikes for my peace of mind. So, thats the plan...After sunday, cut off Dr.B cold turkey! I need advice here my fellow Nayas!

There is a story I read once that can help you put some perspective in your situation.....
(Stop me if you heard this LOL)
There was this young man, he worked in a wood shop in some small town. The population is small (as usual) and he was good with his hands. His boss had a daughter, one of the most beautiful young ladies ever to be seen. She would occasionally visit the shop and the young man would have the glimpses of an angel desend on him. He always woke up and told himself it will never happen. For one thing, this young man was visibly deformed by birth. His features are to the point of being grotesque. But his heart wouldn't let him stop this feeling from taking over. One day he goes to the young beauty and confessed his love, although she pittied him, she knew they could never be married. In the most polite way she said no.
But he told her a story that came to him from his heart. He said "We were bound to be together, in heaven God said that when we would be born, you would be the one with the deformed body and I would be the one with the beauty. I said to God please make me the one with the deformity, it will be harder on a woman to bear that pain. My love for you was fixed from heaven and now I stand here looking this way and you being beautiful because I made that sacrifice for you." She couldn't believe him at first, but then his eyes told the truth, and she broke down with tears. She felt the love pour out from her and ran to his arms...
This story taught me that love was already fixed for us, we shouldn't fight it if we find true love, whatever form, age, religion, or anything...We can't fight destiny, but if you let that loved one pass you by, your life will be....(I shouldn't tell u that one, some of us already been there)
Good Luck Naya2
With love from Naya3
